A child safe organisation has policy and procedures for recruiting, supervising, training and managing staff for staff performance appraisal and feedback processes
Each process should be considered separately in order to minimise risks at each stage and to provide a safe environment for children and young people.
Organisations that employ people who are committed to safe environments for children and young people are better able to provide a high quality and effective service. Adults who work with children and young people have a responsibility to promote their wellbeing and protect them from harm. They also have an opportunity to make a positive contribution to the child and/or young person’s life. It is important that the people who work in your organisation share the organisation’s values and promote the wellbeing of children and young people.
