The caretaker period for the NSW Election commenced on 1 March 2019. Accordingly, no ministerial press releases or related information issued by the Government from 1 March 2019 will be available on this website.

A child safe policy describes an organisation´s commitment to safeguard children from harm.

A child safe policy

  • Helps to create and promote a safe and positive environment for children
  • Demonstrates that the organisation is taking its duty of care seriously
  • Provides the foundation for procedures and decision-making about an organisation's interactions and involvement with children.

Some organisations, for example childcare services, are required by law to have a child safe policy.
