Lost your Working With Children Check number?

Tuesday 24 May 2016

You can now retrieve your WWC number by using the new Find your WWC number function on the Working With Children Check application page.

From Tuesday 24 May, anyone who has applied for a Working With Children Check since new system came into effect on 15 June 2013 and needs to retrieve their Working With Children Check number will be able to do so online.

Just click Find my WWC number and enter your name, date of birth and driver licence number – or application number if you want to confirm your number is correct –  in the online form.

A Working With Children Check is a requirement for people who work or volunteer in child-related work. It involves a national criminal history check and a review of findings of workplace misconduct.

The result of a Working With Children Check is either a clearance to work with children for five years, or a bar against working with children.

Employers are required to verify their employees’ Working With Children Check numbers online to ensure the clearance is valid.
