VOOHC Registration and Self-Certification
VOOHC Registration and Self-Certification framework and associated documents
The Children’s Guardian is responsible for registering and monitoring the responsibilities of agency’s that provide or arrange voluntary out-of-home care (VOOHC) under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 and Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Regulation 2000.
If you are an agency that provides VOOHC, you are required to register your details with the Children's Guardian.
All agencies that provide or arrange VOOHC are required to complete the VOOHC Registration and Self-Certification Checklist to register their agency’s VOOHC details and to confirm its compliance with the VOOHC Procedures.
The VOOHC Registration and Self-Certification and Monitoring Guide (the Guide) describes the Children’s Guardian VOOHC Monitoring Framework including VOOHC Registration and Self-Certification process. It should be read in conjunction with the VOOHC Procedures, the VOOHC Registration and Self-Certification Checklist and the VOOHC Register Manual.
